When God says " do it " -- personal

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done unto me." Matthew 25:40

Ever since David and I got married, doing foster care has been something we have had on our hearts. We really didn't have a clear direction of "when"- it was just a subtle voice.. "wait". This past summer, God made it very, very clear it was time. "Do it." We prayed and prayed and prayed some more, then moved forward with our local agency. In the middle of piles of paperwork, fingerprints, and more paperwork-  we are beyond thrilled to announce that within a few months time- we will be foster parents!!

One thing for sure- we know this is not going to be a walk in the park. There will be sleepless nights, tears, and more heartache then we can ever, ever imagine. But one thing for sure- when God calls you to something- he won't abandon you. He never does for that matter. And He never ever will abandon these precious little souls that need a clearer glimpse of that love on this side of heaven.

We know wholeheartedly that God does not call everyone to this- but, if you would feel led to pray with us, please do so. For the babies + little ones that will come through our home- that they would above all- see Jesus. And someday, get to have a relationship with HIM. For their birth parents. As they make hard choices- (and some times don't get to) - that THEY would see Jesus. We are vey open to adoption, if God opens those doors.

This has been one of the fullest seasons of our lives with more life changes on horizon. BUT.. I can honestly say, never have David + I felt more peace in our hearts. More clear direction.

When God says, " do it "- we encrouage you to pursue HIM, friend. It can be scary. But never has there been a better story writer then the one who holds your heart. Trust Him.

Quentin + Hannah -- LaCrosse, WI wedding photographer

Quentin + Hannah's wedding day was gorgeous. They are one of the sweetest + smiliest couples I have ever worked with, and thoughts of their wedding day only make me smile! Rain threatened their outdoor ceremony- but they only trusted. And wouldn't you know it- the rain cleared just in time for photos and their sweet ceremony.

A few favorites from their day:

+The love Quentin + Hannah showed everyone that came- even though it was their big day, they always had time to stop and talk or dance with kiddos too. So sweet.
+ Hannah's dress. WOW. Drop dead gorgeous!! (and her gold sparkly Keds.. so cute)
+ The beautiful simplicity of the white tables + flowers for the reception- so elegant.

Thank you for trusting me to capture you big day, Quentin + Hannah! Many blessings!

One of their sweet dogs. Love how much they care for their furry friends.

The creek at their farm was the perfect location for the first look.

So much joy.

So many adorable little ones!

The reception tent was so pretty.

The sweetheart table-

The speeches. Hannah's family has so much love for each other- you can just see it.

So many desserts! So sweet how so many people pitched in and brought something to share.

The first dance- always love the joy of the moment- "We did it! We're married!"

The father - daughter dance gets me every time. They danced to this song.. oh man.

And then it was time to party!

The sun peeked out at sunset for a few moments, and I was able to whisk the bride + groom away for a few more photos.. ahh so glad we did.

And then they danced the night away.
